Urania Christaki

Bio

She was born in Volos in 1968.

Graduated from the School of Applied Arts of the Municipality of Volos in 1989.

With scholarship in London in 1992 she obtained the Advanced Craft Certificate in Jewellery by City and Guilds with distinction in design.

She attended various seminars throughout Europe and in particular on gem and mineral carving, under the supervision of Nick Kielty Lambrinides.

At the same time, in 1991, she received her degree in Gemology from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain.

In 2016 she also got the EOPPEP Certification as  Handmade Jewellery Technician & Jewelry Designer.

Awards:

  • 1992: Third special commendation in jewellery design at the exhibition “Jewellery ’92” Helexpo Thessaloniki.
  • 2008: Third prize in Jewellery for the design and manufacture of a silver hat in Valenza, Italy by the PLE (Parliament Lyceus European).

From 1992 until today she has been designing and manufacturing jewellery at the same time as teaching.

Designs and manufactures jewellery inspired by Man for Man.

Main source of inspiration the 4 elements of the universe. Air – Earth – Fire – Water.
